Last year, 2,500 children in hospital received Camp Simcha balloons, cuddly monkeys and toys through our hospital outreach programme.
When these are delivered to children in hospitals, not only do they bring smiles to their faces, but often they can be a welcome distraction from blood tests and other challenges the children face
Balloon deliveries to hospitals are a fantastic way to volunteer for Camp Simcha, especially if you have limited time available. Volunteers inflate special Camp Simcha balloons and then deliver them to a hospital ward. Balloon deliveries occur throughout the week, so volunteers can opt to do them as frequently as suits their time available.
Toy monkeys, in the form of Camp Simcha’s mascot Simi are delivered to hospital wards on a frequent basis, but volunteers who collect them from our office. Hospital staff working with children who receive them say it puts a big smile on their faces.
If you’d like to be one of our hospital delivery volunteers, please contact our team.
It gave me such pleasure delivering the balloons and seeing the faces of the kids as they received them. That little act of kindness went further than I could ever have imagined.
