"Looking back at the last few months during our daughter’s illness, we realise that it would have been impossible to get through emotionally and physically without Camp Simcha."

A few days after the X Factor concert, a parent wrote in about her daughter, Claire. Claire is a 12 year old with a tumour on one of her bones:
"Thank you so much for the most unbelievable day you gave Claire* yesterday. She had an incredible time, it was like a dream for her. I can't really express how it feels to us, to see her have such an amazing experience. We are continually amazed by Camp Simcha, by their commitment to helping children such as Claire, their unbelievable on-going support, and the ability to "hit the mark" in inviting the children to such an exciting day out. Thank you for making her feel so welcome and a part of the Camp Simcha Family."
"Thanks you so much for Graham's day at Silverstone. Words cannot express what this experience has meant to him and us. He is 'over the moon'. He loved every second of his special day. He has still not managed a sentence without a scream and a squeal of delight. He even got to sit next to the pilot on his return flight. You came into our lives when we were so uncertain of what the future would hold for him. Now we realize that no matter what, there are people around who will help us to give Graham the opportunities that help to compensate for his situation. The only words we have are thank you although this does not seem adequate."
We cannot thank you enough for the generosity of Camp Simcha for Oliver’s tricycle. He is so delighted. We are often reduced to tears with the enormity of our situation, but this time they were tears of joy, watching him pedal home from school on the day the tricycle arrived.
Oliver had some independence and was so proud. He had a look on his face we had never seen before, but we are now seeing every time he is on his tricycle – it says – I can do this on my own! We have no idea what the future holds for him or indeed how long it is! But, this has changed a part of it for us all. Thank you so much.
We are so pleased to have Camp Simcha in our lives now.
Thank you very very much for my Tricycle. I love it so much. My friends at school think I am cool now.
You are very kind.
Oliver
I would like to thank you and your colleagues for the very kind donation of gifts in December… Not only did your gifts provide a great deal of pleasure for the children, they also helped allay much of the anxiety and distress often experienced as a result of admission to hospital or attending repeated outpatient appointments. They made such a big difference and provided a much needed “feel good” factor to our young patients!

To everyone at Camp Simcha On behalf of all the patients on the Children’s Ward at Northwick Park Hospital, I would like to thank you very much for your kindness and support...
The regular balloon drops throughout the year are a brilliant idea! They bring a smile to the faces of all the children, brighten up the cots of tiny babies and even manage to cheer teenagers, a difficult age group at the best of times. It is amazing that no one has thought of this idea before and we are most grateful and very much looking forward to your visits.

I am really delighted to thank you on behalf of the hospital and Play Specialist on Kingfisher Ward. I am in a privileged position of seeing how your generosity makes a difference to the children and their families who have come to hospital. The toys were put to very good use and kept the children occupied and entertained. They certainly brought a smile to the children and it was an absolute delight to see the difference it makes to the children and their families on the ward.
