There are many ways for schools to join in the effort to help Camp Simcha. Here are a few of the options:
Adopt Camp Simcha as your charity for the year, or for a term. We would be happy to discuss specific projects that you can help to fund. We would also be happy to come and speak at an assembly.
Help raise awareness. Camp Simcha does not have the funds much bigger charities do to advertise. So it is vital that we find cost-effective ways to raise awareness amongst the community. It is only in this way that we can try to avoid children going without our support. There are many ways that the school can help to raise awareness ranging from taking leaflets home to parents, helping with awareness drives on Sunday morning in Jewish shops and lots more besides.
Participate in the Chanukah Toy Drive - every December schools and Chederim from all over the Jewish community bring unused toys to Camp Simcha. These toys are then given out to over 1,000 children in hospitals, hospices and treatment centres. Your school can be part of this amazing programme that give so many a happy Chanukah or Christmas.
